Catherine Annie Hollingsworth is a licensed acupuncture physician based in Miami. The foundation of her practice is Five Element Acupuncture, with additional training and practice in intuitive reading and healing.
After living in New York and working in dance and the visual arts, she fell in love with alternative medicine and began researching traditional healing methods. She moved to Miami in 2007 and began practicing Chinese medicine in 2015.
Her practice is shaped by the sensitivity and awareness she gained in the arts, and the respect for the body that she learned through dance.
She offers treatment in three categories: pain relief, holistic health, and emotional wellness. But she believes that most people are not simple cases and she takes all aspects of a person into account when treating them.
She has developed a versatile and comprehensive set of tools to effectively treat many conditions of mind and body without side effects. Her greatest passion is helping patients find a drug-free path to health.
Catherine earned a BA in Visual Arts from Brown University, and a Masters of Oriental Medicine from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture, with additional study in intuitive energy medicine, trigger point therapy, and mental health. She is board certified by the NCCAOM as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine. Her writing has been published in Acupuncture Today and the Miami Herald, among other publications.
